is Testicular Torsion?

is it an Emergency?
Signs
and symptoms to watch for:-
Parents should act quickly if they notice any of the
following symptoms in their child:
1.
Sudden onset of
severe pain:
Intense pain in the scrotum is the most common symptom.
2.
Swelling in the
scrotum:
The affected side of the scrotum may appear red and
swollen.
3.
Nausea or
Vomiting:
Systemic symptoms like nausea or vomiting may accompany the
pain.
4.
Colour changes of the scrotal skin
red, purple or black of scrotal skin
What
to do if you suspect Testicular Torsion?
1.
Seek immediate
Medical Attention:
Take your child to the nearest hospital or emergency room
as quickly as possible.
2.
Avoid delays:
Do not attempt to relieve the pain at home or wait for it
to resolve on its own.
3.
Be prepared for
surgery:
As a parent, recognizing the
symptoms early and acting quickly can make all the difference in saving your
child’s testis and ensuring their long-term health.
